Walter Isaacson is incredible. He eloquently showed how Jobs’s relentless, unorthodox personality set the standard for Apple’s culture while also leading to his own demise.
Brilliant story of Phil Knight’s life. I found the portion of him traveling the world most compelling as it demonstrates a willingness to jump into the unknown — just like entrepreneurship.
Good lord was this book dense. Kahneman, through excruciating detail, changed the way I think about thinking. Since finishing the book I’ve been conscious of whether my brain is primed for certain thoughts and the importance of granting adequate time to deep, analytical thinking.
Matthew Walker is the man that finally got me to fix my atrocious sleep schedule. It gave me the frightening realization on what a lack of sleep and accumulation of sleep debt can to do the body. Since then, I’ve been sleeping much better/more making me more productive and getting injured less.
A fascinating story of some bums seeking enlightenment by hitchhiking, taking on odd jobs, and being one with nature. Kerouac tells a story close to his own life. I read this during my gap semester and it reignited my appreciation for the little things in life.
